What a fabulous first full week of school!
Thank you to everyone who helped our Cheetahs transition each morning and get home safely in the afternoon. Parents, thank you for your patience in the parking lot, for using the crosswalks, and for waiting in designated areas. You truly helped keep things running smoothly and ensured our days started on time—we deeply appreciate your partnership!
Please remember, if you need anything at all, feel free to reach out to your child's classroom teacher. Our hearts are full as we kick off this new school year and journey with your child(ren)!
A Few Reminders & Resources
-
Change of Clothes: Please consider sending a spare change of clothes in your child’s backpack (especially for students in the younger grades) to keep on hand just in case of any spills or accidents.
-
Family Resources: As we kick off this new school year, we want to remind our school community that we are here to support you. If you or your family are in need of any resources, please don't hesitate to reach out to your child's teacher so they can connect you with our school social worker.
Have a fantastic and relaxing weekend!

Mrs. Moore, Mrs. Loveland, Ms. Nicole, and Detective Casey visited classrooms this week to review safety information with our Cheetahs!
Safety protocols reviewed included:
- Evacuation drills
- Reverse evacuation drills
- Hall checks
- Lockdowns
Our students were showing their SPOTS and did a fabulous job listening to expectations and asking great questions!

To help students stay focused on learning and to keep their favorite items safe, we ask that personal belongings stay at home. The only exception is playground balls, which students are welcome to bring for recess. Thank you for supporting your child by keeping school a place for learning and play!

- Use designated cross walks to access the parking lot or sidewalks.
- Call the office by 2:00pm if there will be a change in the way your child will normally go home so the teacher can be made aware. (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday) Notify the office of changes by 12:00 PM on Wednesdays.

For safety reasons, skateboards, rollerblades, and similar items are not permitted on campus during school hours. Thank you for supporting a safe and welcoming environment for everyone!

Reed is a learning zone. We strive to have uninterrupted instruction time and we want kids to be able to play with each other.
For that reason, we have any students with cell phones turn them off/silence and leave them in their backpacks during the school day (except for medical uses). Smart watches can be used as watches or tools (example: the calculator function), but not as a cell phone (example: texting).
If a student is using their phone or smart watch while on campus, we have them bring it to the office for the rest of the day. If they do it a second time, we have them bring it to the office and keep it there for a parent to pick up.
Please help us protect instruction and social interaction time for our Cheetahs!
